Susana is a registered psychologist based who work with adults and couples in a warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed way. She offers a safe and supportive space where clients feel genuinely seen and valued as they navigate their own journey.
Susana has been working as a psychologist for over a decade across diverse settings in Spain and Australia—including private practice, Employment Assistance Program (EAP), Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community services, and universities. She has experience supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD), including refugees and asylum seekers, migrants and expatriates. Susana is able to offer therapy in both English and Spanish.
In her work with clients, Susana takes a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to therapy, combining insights from psychology, mindfulness, somatic practices, and well-being to foster insight and resilience. She integrates a variety of evidence-based methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, work, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Breathwork and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Susana is also a certified Aerial Yoga teacher and has completed training in Yoga for Trauma.
Susana is available to work with neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals, as well as couples on a wide range of concerns including identity, sexuality, relationships, anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, complex trauma and family violence. She is also able to support people experiencing difficulties adjusting to migration and grief and loss.
Susana runs her own independent private practice and engages Fremantle Clinical Psychology and Counselling to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide psychological support to her clients.
