Steph completed her Masters Degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Western Australia.
Steph has a warm and friendly manner and appreciates establishing a genuine connection with her clients. She enjoys working collaboratively to assist them in gaining insight and understanding of their difficulties as well as helping them gain practical skills to manage their acute symptoms. Steph works with a range of presentations including those related to anxiety, depression, relationship and attachment difficulties, acute stress, eating disorders and sports psychology. She draws from treatment modalities such as schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment theory and cognitive behavioural therapies.
Steph has specific training and experience working with eating disorders. Her PhD research involved trialling an evidence-based group treatment for eating disorders as well as examining factors that maintain eating disorder psychopathology. In addition to her research, she has also completed postgraduate specialist eating disorder training. Steph also has a strong interest in working with adolescents, and feels privileged to help nurture and guide them through this difficult life stage and prepare them for a more enriched and enjoyable adult life.
